We all have been hearing the very popular phrase 'Brain Drain In India'. Its exact meaning states that the strong Brain Resources of India, are leaving it and are going abroad for allocating better opportunities of success, career and security. But, the downturn of the Global Economy has led to a change in the Fashion. Today, a large number of Indian students, who were settled abroad are returning back to hometown so as to get 'better' opportunities of job.
In countries like U.S., Canada, etc. a large number of students and even Indian residents there, live almost on EMIs in its entirety! This clearly suggests a come-back of the long lost resources of India. Many eminent experts have suggested that its a better deal to stay in India as India is comparatively less hindered by Recession.
Now, this too has a reason. India and China are the countries having a large share of Retail Market all over the world, India being lesser as compared to China. Still, India's dependence over the American sources is quite less and rather exports are more to foreign nations. Thus, for coming many years, it seems that India has a better plot of career opportunities as compared to the developed giants.

Hey bhagirath i completely agree on what you said.Nut let me tell you..with the increase in labour supply the demand for labour is not going to increase in the same proportion...So this trend might further worsen the problem of unemployment
ReplyDeleteI was very much impressed by your opinions regarding "Brain drain". I have a strong opinion that future of profeesional is brighter in India as compared to other Gaints on globe. I have a very strong opinion that services are needed most where huge population is there. Huge population is probaly one of the strongest reason why India has'nt hit as badly by recceession as others countries in world. Consumer industries are not affected as much as other sector. A strong population wakes up and creates demand on such a huge scale for these goods that our consumer industries are engaged 24*7*365. Probably, this 'll be one concrete factor creating more employment opportunities in India in future. I guess with all the steps that are being taken by government India will be one of those countries that will come out of recceesion in near future. I guess the root of "BRAIN DRAIN" lies in mindset of Indians. Students after completeing their PGP, if gets an opportunity to work abroad, they are all set to work in other country. Even their parents love to see their children working abroad. Most of the students dint have a clear idea of what this developing nation can provide them in return to their servises. May be the fact that India is "developing country" with inadequate facillities is another strong force which encourages "BRAIN DRAIN"......But with rate that India is developing the day is not far when professional from other countris will be targeting India as their place where they can build their carrer and shape their life.
